Can you watch TikTok without an app or account?
If you don't have a TikTok app or account, you can still see some of the content that people on TikTok have posted.
For content posted from:
• A public TikTok account: Anyone on TikTok, including people without a registered account, can see certain content posted on a public TikTok account, unless the account owner has adjusted the privacy settings on any of their content.
• A private TikTok account: Only people following the private account can see the content from their For You feed or Following feed. As a result, those without an account or who are unregistered on TikTok can't see the content of private accounts.
Using TikTok without signing up
To use TikTok if you haven't signed in before and don't have an account:
1. Open the TikTok app and enter your birthdate, then tap Next.
2. Tap Continue if you agree to our Terms of Service and acknowledge that you've read our Privacy Policy.
3. Choose your interests and tap Next.
4. Tap Start watching.
Note: As a non-logged in user, you'll only be able to access TikTok content on a temporary basis. We'll prompt you to log in to continue to use TikTok.
What information do we use from unregistered accounts on TikTok?
We'll use information from your engagement with content on TikTok, such as videos you may watch, to show you content we think you're interested in and to keep your experience personalized. We'll also use other information such as the interests you've chosen or your device data, so we can show you relevant content.
What can unregistered accounts do on TikTok?
Keep in mind you won't be able to use some features on TikTok such as comment on and/or like posts, follow accounts, or use direct messages, but you can still use the report feature and manage your notifications settings through your device settings on TikTok without an account.
How to adjust notifications
You can update notification settings directly in your device's system settings. Learn more in the Android Help Center or Apple Support.
